This section presents data and publications on births and fertility in Québec. Certain results are provided by administrative region, RCM and CMA. Birth data are taken from the Registre des événements démographiques maintained by the Institut de la statistique du Québec. A few tables provide data on elective terminations of pregnancies and sterilizations, at the provincial level only, based on files from the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec.
